Preventative Botox means starting light doses earlier, usually in the late twenties or thirties, while lines still appear only with movement rather than at rest.
The reasoning is straightforward. Expression lines set in over years of repeated muscle movement. Relaxing that movement earlier can slow how quickly a dynamic line becomes a static one.
Be careful with how that is sold to you, including by us. Starting early can slow how lines develop. It does not stop ageing, it is not permanent, and no one can promise you will never develop a line. Anyone telling you otherwise is overselling.
There is also no correct age. Some people in their thirties have no need for it at all. Starting because a friend did, or because an ad implied a deadline, is not a clinical reason.
Doses here are deliberately small, so movement stays natural. Onset is three to five days with the full effect by about two weeks, and most patients get three to four months.
If your assessment says wait a year, that is a perfectly good outcome and it is the one we will give you.

With preventative dosing the skill is in restraint, because the goal is softened movement rather than no movement. Genniel will tell you plainly if she does not think you need treating yet. A physician backs the clinical team.

Yes. Preventative Botox is real. It is standard Botox used earlier and in smaller doses to slow how expression lines form, instead of only treating lines that are already deep. The product is the same. The difference is timing and dose. Many people in their late 20s and 30s start this way. During your consultation, your nurse will tell you honestly whether it makes sense to begin now.
At InjectCo MedSpa Austin, neuromodulators are $12 per unit, and the member rate applies to Xeomin. Botulinum toxin treatment at InjectCo MedSpa Austin is performed by licensed registered nurses under physician supervision. Botox Cosmetic is FDA-approved for moderate to severe glabellar and lateral canthal lines.
