It depends on the size of the area: $85 a session for small areas like the upper lip or chin, $140 for medium areas like the underarms, $280 for large areas like a Brazilian or lower legs, and $375 for XL areas like full legs or a full back. Eight sessions cost 8 times the single price and ten sessions are 10% off. Your exact figure is given in writing at your assessment.
Most people need several sessions, often 4 to 8, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart. Coarse hair, hormone-driven areas such as the chin and bikini line, and some skin and hair combinations can need more, and occasional maintenance sessions are normal. Hair grows in three phases: anagen (active growth), catagen (a short transition) and telogen (rest, then shedding). The laser can only disable a follicle in anagen, while the hair is attached and full of pigment. Only part of your hair is in that phase at any time, and the share varies by area, so one session can never finish the job. Hormone-driven areas like the chin, upper lip and bikini line often take one or two more.
The FDA-cleared result is permanent hair reduction, not permanent removal: fewer hairs grow back, and those that do are usually finer and lighter. Occasional maintenance is normal. Anyone promising permanent removal is promising something the technology cannot do.
Yes, with the right wavelength. The 755nm Alexandrite suits Fitzpatrick I to III because melanin absorbs it strongly. The 1064nm Nd:YAG suits Fitzpatrick IV to VI because it bypasses surface melanin. Older single-wavelength lasers were risky on deeper skin for exactly that reason. Very light, red or gray hair responds poorly on any skin because there is little pigment to target.
Most people compare it to a warm rubber band snap. The cryogen burst before each pulse takes much of the sting out, and most find it easier than waxing. Coarse hair and sensitive areas like the bikini line feel more than legs or arms.
Shave 24 to 48 hours before. Do not wax, pluck or thread for four weeks, since the root needs to be there. Avoid sun and self-tanner for two weeks, arrive with clean skin and no lotion, deodorant or makeup on the area, and mention any medication, as some increase light sensitivity.

Not on a fresh tan. The extra pigment absorbs energy meant for the follicle and can cause hot spots, irritation or burns, and self-tanner does the same. Laser also is not done over tattoos, infections or open skin. The assessment and test patch exist for this, and a session will be moved rather than done on skin that is not ready.

Laser hair removal at InjectCo Plano is performed by a licensed registered nurse using the GentleMax Pro. The FDA term for this treatment is permanent hair reduction. That means a lasting decrease in the number of hairs that regrow, not the removal of every hair forever. Most patients need a series of sessions, and occasional maintenance is normal.
Laser hair removal is not appropriate for everyone. Tell your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take photosensitizing medication, or have a history of keloid scarring, active infection, recent sun exposure, or tanning in the treatment area.
Common temporary effects include redness, mild swelling around the follicle, and a sensation during treatment that many patients compare to a rubber band snap. These usually settle within a few hours. Blistering and changes in skin pigment are uncommon but possible, particularly on recently tanned skin.
