According to CareCredit’s laser hair removal cost guide, dated 23 October 2026, national averages vary a lot by area: underarms average $180 per session, chin $195, legs $425, bikini $445 and back $927. Separately, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports the average cost of laser skin treatments like laser hair removal at $697, and notes this is only part of the total price.
National figures mix very different areas and providers, so the fairest comparison is always area to area.
Most people need several sessions, often 4 to 8, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart. Coarse hair, hormone-driven areas such as the chin and bikini line, and some skin and hair combinations can need more, and occasional maintenance sessions are normal.
The American Academy of Dermatology says most patients can have a session once every 4 to 6 weeks, and that some need maintenance treatments to keep the area clear. Hair grows in cycles, so sessions are spaced to catch hair as it comes back into its growing stage. As an example built from the single-session price, 6 sessions on a small area would come to 6 x $85 = $510, and 6 on a large area 6 x $280 = $1,680; your nurse sets the number of sessions you need.
A handful of factors decide your total, and they matter more than any single number online.

From $85 a session for small areas.
Pricing follows the same logic across the body: small areas cost less and larger areas cost more. A few areas come up often enough to have their own guide. If you are pricing the bikini area, our bikini laser hair removal cost guide covers the bikini line, extended bikini and Brazilian options.
For facial hair, our chin laser hair removal cost guide covers chin pricing, including pairing the chin with the upper lip. For the rules and the wider picture in the state, see our guide to laser hair removal in Texas.
Usually not. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons notes that most health insurance plans do not cover cosmetic procedures. IRS Publication 502 lists hair removal (electrolysis), along with face lifts and liposuction, among the cosmetic procedures you generally cannot include as medical expenses.
Whether your HSA or FSA plan allows a charge depends on your plan, so check with your plan administrator before you assume either way. Ask about payment options at your consultation.
Even after a full series, some regrowth over time is normal, especially in hormone-driven areas. Mayo Clinic notes that laser hair removal does not guarantee hair will never grow back, and that some people need follow-up treatments over time.
Touch-up and maintenance sessions are priced like any other single session for that area. Your nurse can help you set a maintenance schedule based on how your hair responds.
At InjectCo, a single session is $85 for small areas like the lip or chin, $140 for medium areas like the underarms or neck, $280 for large areas like the Brazilian or chest, and $375 for extra-large areas like full legs. These prices are the same at every InjectCo clinic that offers laser. Nationally, CareCredit’s 2026 guide puts per-session averages at about $180 to $927, depending on the area.
Small areas are the least expensive per session at InjectCo, at $85. This tier includes the lip, chin, sideburns, cheek, unibrow, hands, feet and navel. The price reflects the smaller size and shorter treatment time of these areas compared with larger zones like the back or legs.
Full body treatment means combining several areas rather than paying one flat price, since different zones fall into different tiers; extra-large areas such as full legs or full back are $375 a session each. Your total depends on which areas you include and how many sessions you need, so your nurse builds an itemized plan and price at your consultation.
The price covers more than the few minutes of laser pulses. It includes the equipment, the training and licensing of the nurse doing the treatment, and the fact that most people need several sessions over months to see the full result. Smaller areas and fewer sessions cost less than larger areas treated repeatedly.
Usually not. Most health insurance plans do not cover cosmetic procedures, and IRS Publication 502 lists hair removal among the cosmetic procedures you generally cannot include as medical expenses. Check with your insurer or HSA or FSA plan administrator if you think your situation might be an exception.
At InjectCo, pricing is per session, based on the area tier, rather than one upfront amount for a whole course of treatment. Your total depends on how many sessions your plan includes, and your nurse explains that number at your consultation. Ask about payment options at your consultation for the most current information.
It can. The American Academy of Dermatology says laser hair removal is a treatment option for dark skin as well as light skin, and that it must be performed very carefully on darker skin. Mayo Clinic adds that darker skin holds more melanin, so the right laser and settings matter, and that mild swelling and skin color changes are common after treatment. We assess your Fitzpatrick skin type before your first session.
Laser hair removal cost at InjectCo comes down to a published rate card: $85 for small areas, $140 for medium, $280 for large and $375 for extra-large, the same at every clinic that offers it.
National averages swing widely by area and provider, which is why one average rarely tells you what you will pay. Your number depends on the areas you treat, how many sessions your hair and skin need and how you handle maintenance, and a registered nurse walks you through all of it at your consultation.

Small $85, Medium $140, Large $280, XL $375 per session.
