What Is Botox? What Coppell Patients Should Know First

Botox is a purified botulinum toxin that temporarily reduces the muscle activity behind expression lines. It treats lines caused by movement, which is why frown lines between the brows, forehead lines and crow's feet are the areas people come in for.

It is not a filler and it does not lift loose skin. Lines that come from lost volume need a different treatment, and part of an honest assessment is telling you which of the two you actually have.

Results settle over about two weeks and generally hold three to four months. Duration varies with dose, muscle strength and metabolism. Individual results vary.

YOUR CARE TEAM

Meet Your Botox Injectors Near Coppell

Your injector at InjectCo MedSpa Colleyville is Stefanie, BSN, RN, an Advanced Clinical Aesthetic Nurse Injector, working alongside Shelby, PA-C. Between them they handle the neurotoxin work at this clinic every week, which is the reason the Colleyville profile carries the largest review count in the InjectCo network.

What that means at your appointment is unglamorous and useful: someone watches your face move before deciding anything. Dosing follows the muscles you actually have, not a diagram. If your goal is achievable with fewer units than you expected, you will be told that.

TREATMENT AREAS

What Botox Can Treat

It may be worth discussing when:

  • Forehead lines remain visible after your brows lower
  • Frown lines linger after you stop concentrating
  • Crow’s feet stay visible after you stop smiling
  • Makeup begins settling into early expression lines
  • You want a conservative starting plan

Starting earlier is not a requirement. Your injector may recommend waiting when lines disappear fully at rest or when treatment does not match your current concern.

Preventative Botox cannot stop aging or guarantee that deeper lines will never form. Genetics, collagen changes, sun exposure, and skin care also affect the skin over time.

01

Frown lines

The vertical lines between your brows that deepen when you concentrate. This is the area most neurotoxins are FDA-approved for, and usually the first one treated.

02

Forehead lines

The horizontal lines that appear when you raise your brows. Dosed carefully, because over-treating here is what causes a heavy or dropped brow.

03

Crow's feet

The fine lines fanning from the outer corners of your eyes when you smile. Softened rather than erased, so your smile still reads as yours.

04

Bunny lines

The small creases across the bridge of the nose that show when you scrunch. A few units usually settle them.

05

Lip flip

A few units at the upper lip relax the muscle so slightly more lip shows when you smile. It is not filler and it does not add volume.

06

Jaw tension and clenching

An overdeveloped masseter can cause clenching, jaw ache and a squared lower face. This area takes considerably more units than a facial one.

07

Neck bands

The vertical cords down the front of the neck that become more visible over time can be softened.

08

Underarm sweating

Excessive underarm sweating responds well to neurotoxin. This indication genuinely lasts longer than cosmetic treatment, often four to six months.
PRODUCT OPTIONS

Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin Options

Units cannot be compared directly between brands. Your provider will recommend a product based on the treatment area, facial movement, previous results, and maintenance preferences.
BOTOX COSMETIC

The most studied option

Botox Cosmetic is the most widely studied botulinum toxin and the benchmark other products are compared against.
DYSPORT

Spreads a little wider

Dysport diffuses slightly more than Botox, which some injectors prefer across broader areas. Units are not interchangeable between products.
XEOMIN

No complexing proteins

Xeomin is filtered to remove the accessory proteins other neurotoxins carry, and is the product behind the InjectCo membership rate.
If you are not sure which option suits your goals, your nurse injector walks you through every choice at your consultation, with no pressure to decide on the spot.

What drives the price

  • Treatment area size: larger areas like cheeks or jawline may require more product
  • Number of units: your nurse calculates the dose for the area treated
  • Filler type: different products serve different purposes, from soft volume to structural support
  • Facial anatomy: muscle density and existing volume loss affect how much filler is needed

Not Sure How Many Units You Need?

Most Coppell patients want a number before they arrive. Unit counts depend on muscle strength and the area treated, which your nurse assesses in person.

Can Botox Be Combined With Other Treatments?

Neurotoxin work is often planned across more than one area in a single visit, and sometimes alongside filler when the concern is volume rather than movement. Your nurse assesses which is driving the result you want before recommending anything.

What to Expect at InjectCo

Review your product, treatment areas, units, pricing, result timeline, and aftercare with an InjectCo provider.

1

Follow your aftercare plan

Temporary redness, small bumps, tenderness, or bruising may occur at the injection sites. Early changes may appear within three to seven days, with fuller results developing around two weeks.

Results commonly last three to four months. Your provider will explain when to assess the result and when to contact the clinic about an unexpected change.

2

The skin is cleansed, and small injections are placed into the selected muscles. Most patients describe the injections as quick pinches.

The full appointment commonly takes about 20 to 45 minutes, including the consultation and treatment planning.

3

Confirm the product, units, and cost

Your injector explains the selected product, treatment areas, unit count, total price, expected timing, and possible risks.

You can ask questions or decide not to proceed before treatment begins.

Simple aftercare

  • Stay upright for at least 4 hours
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
  • Do not rub or massage the treated areas that day
