Non-surgical penis enhancement uses injectable hyaluronic acid filler to increase penile girth for a limited time. It involves no surgical lengthening and no fat grafting. Its aim is circumference, not length. No dermal filler currently has an FDA-approved indication for penile augmentation, so this use is off-label.

At a glance

Approval does not travel. An HA product can hold FDA approval for the lips or cheeks. That approval does not extend to the penis.
What it changes. HA adds volume under the skin, so the penis measures wider around. You will see a change in volume on the day of treatment. That treatment-day look includes swelling, so it is not necessarily the settled result.
What it leaves alone. Filler is not a lengthening treatment, flaccid or erect. It does not treat a buried penis or correct a diagnosed micropenis. It does not change erectile function, stamina or sensation. If length is your main concern, filler is not the answer, and a urologist is the right first stop.
Studies of HA penile filler report average changes for groups of men treated under a set protocol. Those averages are useful, because they show what has been measured. They cannot tell you what will happen to you.
That last question is answered at a consultation, not in a paper. It is why this page quotes study numbers carefully and never turns them into a promise.
Paige, BSN, RN is the Clinical Aesthetic Nurse Injector at InjectCo MedSpa Cleburne, and she performs this treatment. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and works as a registered nurse. Before aesthetics, she spent six years in pediatric critical care nursing.
Her advanced neurotoxin and dermal filler training came through the Texas Academy of Medical Aesthetics. That academy is part of InjectCo's own training program. It is not an independent board certification, a Texas specialty license or a urology credential. Her training is in aesthetic injection, which is one reason the referral rules on this page matter.

Texas rules. Texas Medical Board rules (22 TAC Chapter 169, Subchapter E, in effect since January 9, 2025) treat nonsurgical cosmetic injections as a delegated medical act. They require training that covers complications and a signed written protocol. A physician, PA or APRN must set up a practitioner-patient relationship before treatment. They also require a medical record and disclosure of who will inject you.
A person trained in basic life support must be present. A physician, PA or APRN must be on site or immediately available for emergencies. You can check Paige's nursing license with the Texas Board of Nursing.
Men often come into a consultation with a number they saw online. Sometimes it is a result from a study. Sometimes it is a clinic advertising one inch or two inches.
I do not use that number as a guarantee.
The published studies are useful because they show that HA filler can produce measurable changes in girth, and that those changes can decrease over time. But those are group averages from specific research protocols.
Before treatment, I need to understand what you are actually trying to change. I examine the anatomy, review your medical and sexual history, and decide whether filler is appropriate at all.
If the concern is length, erections, a new curve, pain, urinary symptoms or fertility, adding HA filler is not the answer.
If girth is the goal and filler is appropriate, we can talk about what a realistic change might look like, without pretending a published average is a personal guarantee.

A consultation is not an automatic path to treatment. Paige looks at five things first.
Sometimes anatomy is within a normal range, yet the distress is intense, persistent or affecting daily life or sex. In that case, more evaluation may be the right step before any cosmetic treatment. European urology guidance strongly recommends against HA or other soft-tissue filler for girth in men with penile dysmorphic disorder. It also recommends mental health counseling when body dysmorphic disorder is suspected.
That is not a judgment. It is a safety step.
No. No dermal filler is FDA approved for penile augmentation.
FDA approvals for dermal fillers are specific to each product and each area of the body. For adults 22 and older, the FDA lists uses such as facial wrinkles and folds. It also lists adding volume to the lips, cheeks, chin and backs of the hands. Some individual products hold approvals for other facial areas. None covers the penis.
Off-label means using an approved product in a body area or for a purpose outside its approved indication. So the accurate way to describe any product used here is: this product has FDA approval for its listed indication, and use in penile augmentation is outside that indication. According to the FDA, the risks of using dermal fillers in ways it has not approved are unknown. See the FDA dermal filler page.
Before you agree to treatment, request the brand name, the manufacturer and the FDA-approved indication of the product, in writing. HA itself is a temporary gel that adds volume in tissue.

The EAU Guidelines on Sexual and Reproductive Health rate the evidence for girth enhancement as low. Studies report HA girth increases of 1.4 to 3.78 cm. Three recommendations apply here:
A weak recommendation is not an endorsement. Guideline advice is also not FDA approval, because the two answer different questions.
The 24-week trial's HA average was 2.1 cm, about 0.8 inch. That number describes a group. It does not mean one InjectCo session adds one inch, or that two sessions add two. A second session is not a simple doubling, and a package price is not a promised measurement. Your result depends on your anatomy, the product, the amount and how your tissue responds.
Your written treatment plan should state exactly which areas are treated. If the glans is part of the plan, ask what is known and not known about that area specifically.
These three topics are often sold together. They should not be weighed as if they were versions of the same product.
Some concerns are medical, not cosmetic. If any of these apply, we refer you for urologic or medical evaluation instead of treating:
A referral is not a turndown. It is how you get the right answer first. Physician oversight at a med spa does not replace a urologist's examination when a urologic problem is suspected.
Published studies and reviews describe these adverse effects after HA penile injection. They do not all carry the same likelihood.
Many events reported in trials were temporary. More significant complications have also been described in the wider literature, and one systematic review noted some disabling cases. The 2026 meta-analysis estimated an overall complication rate of 14.9% across all augmentation methods, with HA numerically lower at 9.0%. Those comparisons were indirect, and neither figure predicts the risk for any one patient at InjectCo. Across all dermal filler uses, the FDA's top safety concern is filler accidentally entering a blood vessel.

A medical complication and cosmetic dissatisfaction are separate conversations. Often it can be reduced or dissolved with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid, when a clinician judges it appropriate. That is a real advantage over permanent materials, but it has limits:
Being reversible does not make filler risk-free. Infection, nodules, migration, contour problems and vascular injury can still happen. Ask at your consultation how dissolving would be handled at the Cleburne clinic.
European urology guidance gives a strong recommendation not to use silicone, paraffin or petroleum jelly for girth. The 2026 meta-analysis rated the evidence for permanent materials as very low certainty. InjectCo uses HA filler for this treatment.
HA penile filler results are temporary. In the 18-month trial, the average gain was still measurable at 18 months, but it had fallen from its one-month peak. Individual duration varies.
That trial does not show that every product lasts as long, that you will keep the same amount, or that results reach 24 months. It also does not set a fixed touch-up schedule. How long a result lasts depends on the formulation, the amount, your anatomy and tissue, and your own response.
Some men later ask about more treatment. Another session is not automatic. Paige reassesses the result, your comfort and your goal first, and more product is not always the better choice.
