Men in The Woodlands pick InjectCo for the P-Shot for three plain reasons. One nurse with a master's degree, Misty or Lindsey, handles the whole visit in a closed room. The $1,799 price is set before any blood is drawn. And the clinic is open seven days a week until 7 PM.
The P-Shot, sometimes called the Priapus Shot, uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) taken from your own blood. Your nurse draws a small tube from your arm. A centrifuge spins it so the platelets form a concentrated layer. Once the area is numb, that plasma is injected into the shaft of the penis. The goal is function: firmer erections and better sensation. It does not make the penis longer or thicker, and it is not surgery.
Platelets release growth factors when they reach tissue. The idea behind the P-Shot is that a concentrated dose may help blood vessels and nerve tissue in the penis work better over the next few weeks. A handful of controlled trials have tested that idea. So far the results are mixed (see the research section below). At our Shenandoah clinic the P-Shot costs $1,799 a session, and the same nurse stays with you from the first question to the final injection.
Off-label, said plainly. The machines that separate PRP are FDA-cleared devices, but no PRP product is FDA approved for erectile dysfunction or sexual function. The American Urological Association still calls PRP for ED experimental, so we treat it as an option to discuss, never a promise.
The first appointment is a free, private consultation. Your nurse asks how long the change has lasted and whether it happens every time. She asks what you have tried, which medicines you take (blood thinners and nitrates matter) and what a good result would look like to you.
Changes in erections are common, and they can also be an early sign of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or a hormone problem. The AUA erectile dysfunction guideline asks clinicians to look for those causes first, so that is where the plan begins. Then your goal is matched to what PRP was designed to do:
| What you want to change | Does the P-Shot aim at it? | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| Erections that are not as firm or as reliable as before (mild to moderate) | It may be discussed. Trial results disagree, and the use is off-label | A health review first, ideally shared with your own doctor |
| Less sensation than you used to have | It may be discussed. Very little research looks at sensation | A free consult at our Shenandoah clinic |
| ED that appeared suddenly, or alongside chest pain, diabetes or high blood pressure | Not as the first step | Your physician or a urologist |
| Wanting more girth | No | A separate filler consult (see More Care below) |
| Wanting more length | No | A urologist |
| A bend, a hard lump or pain with erections | No | A urologist |
| Low libido, low energy or fatigue | No | Your physician, for a hormone and health check |
If two rows fit, the medical row comes first. If the P-Shot does fit, you hear the $1,799 price, what PRP might and might not change for you, whether a second session could ever make sense and how the visit runs, all before a single tube of blood is drawn.
Two Clinical Aesthetic Nurse Injectors see patients at InjectCo MedSpa Woodlands, and both perform the P-Shot, including the blood draw. You choose who you book with, and that nurse stays with you from the consult to the follow-up text.
A nursing master's degree, neonatal intensive care and pediatric acute care are broad clinical backgrounds, not urology specialties. Ask either nurse about her P-Shot training at your consult.
Medical oversight. Both nurses treat under the medical direction of Dr. Josh Allen, D.O., Medical Director. Dr. Allen sets InjectCo's treatment protocols and safety standards for all nine Texas clinics.
The Texas rule. Under 22 Tex. Admin. Code §169.26, a physician, or an APRN or PA acting under a physician's delegation, must establish the patient relationship before a nurse gives a delegated cosmetic injection. You can look up any nurse license on Nursys.

Clinical Aesthetic Nurse Injector, The Woodlands
Master of Science in Nursing in leadership and management, after 18 years in neonatal intensive care, including time as a Neonatal ICU nurse manager. She also trains new InjectCo RN injectors. Performs the P-Shot, blood draw included.

Clinical Aesthetic Nurse Injector, The Woodlands
Advanced practice registered nurse with an MSN and more than 16 years of direct patient care. CPNP-AC is a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner credential, not an aesthetic board certification. Performs the P-Shot, blood draw included.
The right fit is a generally healthy adult man with mild to moderate changes in erections or sensation. His usual medical causes have been checked, or will be. He accepts that the research is mixed and wants a non-surgical option alongside what his own doctor recommends.
A list of every prescription and supplement (including ED tablets, nitrates and blood thinners), any recent lab work and a short note of what you have already tried. It saves time and keeps the advice accurate.
What some men notice: firmer or more dependable erections, or stronger sensation, building over the weeks after a session. Other men notice nothing. No test can tell you in advance which group you will fall into.
What it will not change: length, girth, a curve from Peyronie's disease, testosterone levels, libido, or the conditions that often sit behind ED, such as diabetes or vascular disease. Controlled studies do not show the P-Shot making the penis bigger, so we never say it does.
It is not a replacement for prescriptions. ED tablets are FDA approved for erectile dysfunction, and PRP is not. Keep taking any prescribed medicine unless the doctor who prescribed it tells you otherwise.
Size is its own conversation. If girth is the goal, that is a filler treatment with different risks and evidence, linked in the comparison below.
The P-Shot is never the first stop for a medical problem. We send you elsewhere first if your main issue is:
Oral ED medicines are FDA approved and prescribed by a physician. The P-Shot does not replace them, and some men talk through both options with their doctor. The comparison below covers the choices men in The Woodlands ask us about most.
| Option | What it involves | FDA status for ED | What it targets |
|---|---|---|---|
| P-Shot (PRP) | Your own concentrated plasma, injected into the shaft | Not approved (off-label) | Firmness and sensation |
| ED tablets | A prescription taken before sex | Approved | An erection when you need one |
| Low-intensity shockwave | Sound-wave pulses over a series of visits | Not approved for ED | Blood flow over time |
| Girth filler | Hyaluronic acid filler placed under the shaft skin | Not approved for penile use | Thickness, not erections |
Filler and the P-Shot are often confused. Filler adds volume; PRP does not. Many men start with the P-Shot for function and only later ask about size, or the other way round. Whatever you choose, tell every clinician you see which treatments you are having.
Two placebo-controlled trials get cited most. Both are small, both enrolled men with mild to moderate ED, and they reached different conclusions.
Trials prepare PRP differently, inject different amounts and mostly follow men for months rather than years. The percentages describe groups of study volunteers, not what will happen to you. Full references sit in the sources list near the end of this page.
No. The FDA has not approved any platelet-rich plasma treatment for erectile dysfunction or sexual function, which makes the P-Shot an off-label treatment. The centrifuges that prepare PRP reach the market through FDA 510(k) clearance, and that clearance covers the device itself, not injecting the plasma into the penis.
Because the plasma is your own, an allergic reaction is unlikely. Before you agree to treatment, ask which PRP system the clinic uses and how much plasma it injects.
Per session at InjectCo MedSpa Woodlands: assessment, blood draw, PRP preparation, numbing and the injections.
A P-Shot at our Shenandoah clinic costs $1,799 per session, and the consultation that comes before it is free. If your nurse ever suggests a second session, you hear the reason and the cost first, and you decide. Health insurance usually does not pay for the P-Shot. Every InjectCo price is listed on our pricing page, and the P-Shot cost guide explains what goes into a session.
Approved patients can begin treatment the same day and pay over time instead of all at once.
How it works: apply online with CareCredit or Cherry in a few minutes, get a decision on the spot, then bring your approval to your appointment. Our team can help you compare options during your consultation and apply on the day if you prefer.
Terms and rates are set by the financing provider. Your nurse will walk you through your total cost, including any financing fee, before anything is booked.
InjectCo MedSpa Woodlands holds a 5.0 rating from 170+ Google reviews. Those reviews cover every treatment the clinic offers. Men seldom review a private visit by name, so none of the quotes below mentions the P-Shot. They are copied word for word, with any cut marked by an ellipsis.

PRP is slow. The first few days usually bring tenderness or mild swelling, not a difference in erections. The trials checked men at 1, 3 and 6 months. Men who do notice a change tend to describe it building slowly over several weeks to a few months.
Nobody has shown how long a change lasts. Studies have followed men for months, not years, so InjectCo does not promise a duration, and some men see no change at all.
Your plan is set at the consult. Many men have one session, wait, and review how they feel before deciding on anything more. Both trials above used two injections one month apart, but a second session here is always your choice, never automatic.
The plasma comes from your own blood, so serious reactions are uncommon. The 2021 trial above reported no adverse events, and the 2023 trial judged PRP safe. Effects you should expect for a short time:
Less common: infection, a firm small bump at an injection point (our article on lumps after a P-Shot explains why it happens), or a larger bruise. The main downside men mention matches the research: you pay for something that may not work for you.
you notice pain or swelling that keeps increasing, fever, discharge, redness that spreads, a bump that grows, or blood in your urine: (281) 326-9985. Go to an emergency room for an erection lasting longer than four hours or sudden, severe pain.
Every P-Shot at InjectCo MedSpa Woodlands is performed by our nurse injectors under the medical direction of Dr. Josh Allen, D.O., Medical Director.
Erection changes start with a medical check. For everything else we offer at this clinic, from injectables to weight loss, visit our med spa in The Woodlands page.
Girth filler is a different treatment with a different goal. It adds volume and does not treat erections.
Our nurses also offer PRP and other options for women, explained on our vaginal rejuvenation page.

How InjectCo approaches the P-Shot across its Texas clinics.
InjectCo MedSpa Woodlands sits at 250 Ed English Dr #3D, Shenandoah, TX 77380, inside the Portofino Plaza office condominiums on the east side of I-45. The address is in the City of Shenandoah, right beside The Woodlands, so maps show Shenandoah while most of our patients live in the villages of The Woodlands.
Heading north on I-45: take exit 79A, stay on the frontage road and turn right onto Ed English Drive. Heading south: take exit 77, U-turn under I-45 at Research Forest Drive / Tamina Road, drive north on the frontage road and turn right onto Ed English Drive.
Measured on a weekday at midday, the clinic was about 7 minutes from Town Center and Oak Ridge North, 8 from The Woodlands Mall and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, 9 from Market Street, Hughes Landing and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, 16 from Spring and 19 from Conroe. If you searched for a P-Shot near me from Panther Creek, College Park or another village, you are likely closer than you think.
Patients also come from Magnolia, Tomball, Willis, Montgomery, Kingwood and Humble. The drive times above were measured at midday on a weekday. The tiles below show typical weekday traffic for more areas.
Every day, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
$1,799 per session at InjectCo MedSpa Woodlands. That covers the assessment, blood draw, PRP preparation, numbing and the injections. The consultation beforehand is free, and health insurance usually does not cover the P-Shot.
Yes. Everything happens in a closed treatment room with one nurse, and the clinic is in an office building on Ed English Drive rather than a retail strip. You can ask questions through the private form on this page before you book.
About an hour from start to finish, including the health review, the blood draw, time for the numbing to work and the injections themselves.
Not right away. Men who notice a change usually describe it building over several weeks to a few months. Some men notice nothing, and no one can promise how long a change lasts.
No. Controlled studies do not show PRP increasing length or girth. If size is your goal, that is a filler treatment, which is a separate consultation.
It depends on the goal. The P-Shot aims at erection quality and sensation; filler adds girth and does nothing for erections. If you want more thickness, that is a separate filler consult, linked under More Care on this page. Some men ask about both at one consult.
Often, yes, but timing matters. Tell your nurse about every treatment and prescription you use, including ED tablets, so she can plan the order safely. Combining treatments never changes the $1,799 P-Shot price.
Serious problems are uncommon because the plasma is your own. In the 2021 trial no adverse events were seen, and the 2023 trial judged PRP safe. Expect brief tenderness or bruising. It is still a medical procedure, so your nurse checks your history first.
A short health review, a small blood draw from your arm, numbing while the PRP is prepared, then the injections with a fine needle. You leave with written aftercare. Plan on about an hour.
Platelet-rich plasma is the part of your blood that carries a high concentration of platelets. It is made by spinning a small blood sample in a centrifuge, so nothing foreign is injected.
The area is numbed first. Most men describe pressure or a brief pinch rather than real pain, and tenderness for a day or two afterward.
Many men start with one session and review the result before deciding anything else. The published trials used two injections a month apart, but a second session is always your decision and is priced before you commit.
No. PRP is not FDA approved for erectile dysfunction or sexual function, so the P-Shot is off-label. The centrifuge that prepares PRP is an FDA-cleared device, which is a different thing from approval for this use.
Men with sudden ED, ED with chest pain, new ED alongside diabetes or high blood pressure, a new curve or lump, painful erections, blood in urine or semen, or an erection lasting over four hours (an emergency). ED can be a sign of heart or blood-vessel disease, so it deserves a medical check.
Most men go back to work the same or next day. Your written aftercare explains when sex and exercise can resume and what soreness or bruising to expect.
Yes. Book your free consultation online with the buttons on this page, or text (281) 326-9985 if you prefer messages. You never have to explain your reason at the front desk.

The P-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) prepared from your own blood. PRP is not FDA approved for erectile dysfunction, and injecting it into the penis is an off-label use the American Urological Association considers experimental. At InjectCo MedSpa Woodlands it is offered only after an assessment, by nurse injectors working under physician delegation. It does not add length or girth.
Results vary and are not guaranteed.
Possible side effects include tenderness, bruising, swelling and minor bleeding at the injection and blood-draw sites, and less often infection or a small firm bump. Men with a platelet or bleeding disorder or an active genital infection, or who take blood thinners, may not be candidates. Tell your nurse about every condition and medicine, and see your physician about new or worsening ED. This page is general education, not medical advice.
