The P-Shot is an injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) made from your own blood. A small blood sample is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, and that plasma is injected into the shaft of the penis after numbing. It is used to support erection quality, but it is not FDA approved for erectile dysfunction, so it is given off-label.
You may also see it called the Priapus Shot, PRP for ED or penile injection therapy. Nothing synthetic goes in: the plasma is drawn and prepared from your own blood during the same visit at our Dallas clinic. Off-label notice. Injecting platelet-rich plasma into the penis is not an FDA-approved treatment for erectile dysfunction or any other penile condition. At InjectCo it is offered off-label, only after a medical assessment, and individual results differ.
Before anyone draws blood, your provider wants to know what changed and when. Did it come on slowly or overnight? Is it every time, or only some of the time? Has a doctor already checked your heart, blood pressure, blood sugar or testosterone?
Next come your medicines and supplements, including blood thinners and any ED pills you have tried, plus smoking, alcohol and sleep. These shape whether PRP is a sensible next step or whether something else should come first.

The P-Shot is most often considered for healthy adult men with mild to moderate erection changes who have already had a medical check, want a treatment made from their own blood and understand that results vary. What it is meant to do: support erection quality in men with mild to moderate erectile changes. In one controlled trial, more men improved after PRP than after a placebo injection; in another, the two groups ended up about the same. Any change builds over weeks, not on the day of treatment.
What it does not do: it does not add length or girth, does not straighten a bend caused by Peyronie's disease, and does not replace a medical workup for ED. It is not a dependable answer for severe erectile dysfunction, and we do not promise a result.

No. No PRP injection is FDA approved to treat erectile dysfunction, so the P-Shot is an off-label use. The centrifuge kits that prepare PRP are regulated by the FDA as medical devices, but that is a separate question from whether the injection treats ED.
FDA-approved ED medicines do exist, such as sildenafil and tadalafil tablets. A physician can tell you whether they are safe for you, which matters most if you take nitrate medicines for your heart.

A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, much like a routine lab test. The tube goes into a centrifuge that spins it until the platelets and plasma separate from the red cells. The platelet-rich layer is drawn off and used for your treatment during the same appointment.
Because PRP comes from you, there is no synthetic filler, animal product or donor material in it. That lowers the chance of an allergic reaction, but it does not remove the usual risks of a needle, such as bruising or infection.
Results are not instant. PRP is thought to act gradually, so any change is judged over weeks to months rather than days. In the trials above, men were assessed 1, 3 and 6 months after their second session.
How long a benefit lasts is not well studied. Most trials followed men for 6 months or less, so we do not quote a fixed duration. Some men are offered a repeat session later; others decide it was not worth repeating.
