A lot of patients from Cleburne come to us having already looked at photos online. The galleries they find are from clinics in Toronto or Los Angeles, shot under perfect studio lighting, showing results that may or may not represent what most people actually experience. What they want is something more honest: a real sense of what full brazilian laser hair removal before and after looks like over the course of a full treatment plan.
This post covers what actually happens, session by session. What the area looks like before treatment starts. What changes you notice after session one, after session three, and after you complete the full course. It also covers what we see at our clinic serving Cleburne and Johnson County patients, including the skin tone diversity, lifestyle factors, and Texas summer heat that affect how treatments go here specifically.
If you want to understand the full process before booking, this is the right place to start. If you are already ready to talk through your situation, our laser team near Cleburne is available for same-day consultations at our Waxahachie location, about 20 minutes from downtown Cleburne.
The terminology is not consistent across clinics, which creates confusion before patients even book their first session. Here is how we define it at InjectCo.
Bikini laser hair removal targets the hair outside the underwear line, or the sides and the very top of the pubic region. Most of what is covered stays covered during a standard bikini at the beach.
Full Brazilian laser hair removal removes everything: the front pubic area, the labia region, the perianal strip, and the inner buttocks. Nothing is left unless the patient requests a specific shape, like a landing strip. The treatment covers front and back in a single session.
Patients occasionally ask about the Hollywood, which is the same as a full Brazilian at most clinics (total removal). Some clinics use the two terms interchangeably; we consider them the same treatment at InjectCo.
For comparison on the full bikini option, see our overview of laser hair removal services at InjectCo.
The results you see in before-and-after photos depend heavily on what laser was used. At InjectCo Waxahachie, all Brazilian laser treatments are performed on the Candela GentleMax Pro, a dual-wavelength platform that combines two separate laser systems in one device.
755nm Alexandrite wavelength: works most efficiently on light to medium skin tones with dark hair. High absorption rate in the melanin of the follicle, fast clearance.
1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength: bypasses the epidermis more deeply and is the clinically appropriate choice for medium-to-dark skin tones. This is what makes it possible for us to treat the full range of skin types we see in Johnson County and the surrounding area without increasing burn risk.
The device also fires a cryogen cooling burst onto the skin immediately before each laser pulse. This protects the outer skin layer and makes the treatment more comfortable, particularly in a sensitive area like the Brazilian zone.
Older single-wavelength devices are not designed to safely treat darker skin tones. If you have been told by another clinic that your skin tone is “not a good candidate,” it is worth a second opinion with a provider using dual-wavelength technology.
This is the part most patients want and most competitor pages skip. Rather than a single dramatic before-and-after photo, here is what the full Brazilian laser hair removal before and after process actually looks like across a complete treatment plan.
The area looks exactly as it always has. There is no prep required beyond shaving 24 to 48 hours before the appointment. Do not wax, thread, or use a depilatory, as these methods remove the root the laser needs to target. Arrive with clean skin (no lotion) and loose, comfortable clothing for after.
Most patients notice the treated hairs begin to shed around days 7 to 14. This looks like the hair is growing in at first, but it is actually being pushed out by the follicle as it dies. You will see patchy clearing. Some areas respond faster than others based on hair thickness and the growth cycle phase those follicles were in at the time of treatment.
Expect 15 to 25 percent reduction after the first session. The skin may be slightly pink for a few hours after treatment. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.
This is when patients typically see the results that show up in before-and-after photos. Hair regrowth is noticeably finer and more sparse. Many patients report needing to shave far less frequently between sessions. The texture of regrowth also changes and becomes thinner, lighter, and shorter.
At session three, most patients are seeing 40 to 60 percent permanent reduction in the treatment area. The most dramatic visible change happens in this window.
By session five or six, the majority of patients are approaching 80 to 90 percent permanent hair reduction. The Brazilian area, because it involves hormonal zones, sometimes requires 8 to 10 sessions for complete clearance rather than the standard 6 to 8 for non-hormonal areas like the legs.
What remains after a full course of treatment is typically fine, light regrowth that can be managed with occasional touch-up sessions. For most patients, the maintenance requirement is minimal compared to the pre-treatment baseline.
For a full breakdown of the session spacing protocol and what drives the timeline, see our laser hair removal overview at InjectCo.
Male full Brazilian laser hair removal, sometimes called a Manzilian, follows the same treatment protocol and produces comparable before and after results. The treatment area is equivalent: the full pubic region, perianal strip, and scrotum if requested.
The main clinical difference is that hormonal hair in this area can be more resistant, and male patients occasionally need one or two additional sessions compared to the standard 6 to 8. Discomfort is comparable to what female patients report: a brief, manageable sting per pulse, not prolonged pain.
We see male patients regularly at our Waxahachie clinic. There is no separate intake process and no judgment. The consultation is clinical and private.
Brazilian laser hair removal works best when there is contrast between hair color and skin tone as darker hair absorbs the laser energy more readily. With dual-wavelength technology, we can treat a far wider range of combinations than older clinics. That said, grey, white, or very light blonde hair in the treatment area does not respond well to laser, because those follicles lack the melanin the laser targets.
You’re a strong candidate if you have:
Treatment is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for patients who have had significant sun exposure in the two weeks before their session. We also ask patients to avoid tanning beds and self-tanners throughout the treatment course.
If you’re unsure whether you are a candidate, book a free virtual consultation with our licensed nurse injectors. Advanced laser treatment in Cleburne is the same medical-grade technology available in the major metros, minus the commute.
Most patients need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. The Brazilian area, because it involves hormonally influenced hair, sometimes requires 8 to 10 sessions for optimal clearance. Your provider will give you a realistic estimate after assessing your hair density and skin type at the consultation.
Most patients describe each pulse as a brief sting, similar to the snap of a rubber band. The GentleMax Pro’s built-in cooling device fires a cryogen burst onto the skin before each pulse, which significantly reduces discomfort. Sessions are short, typically 20 to 30 minutes for a full Brazilian, so any discomfort is brief.
Results from a full course of treatment are considered permanent for the hair that is successfully targeted. Hormonal fluctuations, such as those during pregnancy or menopause, can occasionally stimulate minor regrowth. Most patients find that one or two touch-up sessions per year is sufficient to maintain results long-term.
Mild redness and warmth in the treatment area is normal and typically resolves within two to four hours. The area may appear slightly raised where the follicles were treated, similar to a mild sunburn. Loose clothing and avoiding tight waistbands for 24 hours helps with comfort.
Yes. The Candela GentleMax Pro used at InjectCo includes a 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength specifically designed to treat medium-to-dark skin tones safely. Older clinics using single-wavelength devices may not be able to treat darker skin safely, but that limitation does not apply at InjectCo.
Hair shedding from the first session typically begins around days 5 to 14. Visible reduction becomes more noticeable after sessions two and three, with 40 to 60 percent reduction commonly seen by session three. Full results after a complete course are in the range of 80 to 90 percent permanent reduction.
Yes. InjectCo Waxahachie, which serves Cleburne and Johnson County, treats male patients for full Brazilian laser hair removal using the same protocol. Sessions are private and handled clinically with no different intake process than any other treatment.
