Combining Different Cosmetic Injectables For Facial Rejuvenation

Table Of Contents

You don’t have to have plastic surgery to get smoother and younger skin. While a traditional facelift can offer you long-lasting facial contouring, you can see a similar result from a liquid facelift. This treatment recreates the effects of a facelift without surgery. Strategic injections of wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers can lift, firm, and add volume to your face. If you want to get a younger-looking complexion but are less than thrilled about the idea of having surgery, a liquid facelift is the best option for you.

What Are The Different Types Of Cosmetic Injectables?

When you start looking into cosmetic injectables, all the names of the medicines and the things they treat feel like a lot to take in. Don’t worry if you’re feeling confused. We’re here to help you with a list of cosmetic injectables and their purposes.

Wrinkle Relaxers

You’ll see limited muscle movement with injections of wrinkle relaxers. That’s because these neurotoxins relax your facial muscles and lessen tension, which leads to smoother skin at the surface of your face.

You may know that certain wrinkle relaxers are more effective in specific areas, but they can be helpful in “off-label” areas. If you have a preference, you can ask your provider what areas they treat with the medicine you prefer.

  • Botox & Dysport: These medicines treat similar areas of your face, like the lines between your eyebrows, lines on your forehead, and crow’s feet (the small lines around your eyes). Dysport can also help you see fewer wrinkles around your mouth.
  • Xeomin & Jeuveau: Both of these neurotoxins can make deep lines in your forehead a thing of the past. Xeomin is a good alternative if Botox doesn’t seem to do the trick for you. If you’re looking for a more finance-friendly option, ask your provider if Jeuveau is an option.

Dermal Fillers

When areas of your face feel like they’re sagging or just don’t have the same bounce that they used to–or maybe never really have–dermal fillers are the way to go. These injectables can treat your cheeks, lips, chin, under eyes, etc. If you’ve got it, dermal fillers can volumize it. Popular fillers include:

  • Restylane: This one comes in many special formulas–for your lips (Restylane Kysse or Restylane Silk), your cheeks (Restylane Contour or Restylane Lyft), your hollow under eyes (Restylane Eyelight), etc.
  • Juvederm: Another injectable that offers a lot of variety is Juvederm. You can get specific medicine for your chin (Juvederm Voluma XC), jaw (Juvederm Volux XC), under eyes (Juvederm Volbella XC), lips (Juvederm Volbella XC, Juvederm Ultra XC), etc.
  • Radiesse & Sculptra: These injectables are both helpful options for reducing facial folds and wrinkles that form after volume loss.

Fat Dissolver

If you’ve got sagging tissue or fatty deposits under your chin, a session of fat dissolver injections can work wonders. This injectable breaks down fat cells, leading the way for your immune system to clear them out and firm up your skin.

  • Kybella: This injectable is in a category of its own. Kybella is the best way to get rid of fat under your chin. This fat–also known as submental fat or a double chin–can be a problem no matter your age, weight, or body type. Kybella gives you a way to reduce your chin and neck fat without surgery.

Why Should I Get A Combination Of Injectables?

Maybe you have little lines around your eyes. You’ve noticed some sagging under your chin. You didn’t have hollows under your eyes in last year’s family photo. If you just have one thing that you want to change, an injection of a wrinkle relaxer, dermal filler, or fat dissolver might be a good next step.

What if you don’t have one of these issues–you have all of them? That’s where a mix of cosmetic injectables can help you out. Wrinkle relaxers can give you a smooth complexion. Fat dissolver can mimic the effects of liposuction and a neck lift to make your chin and face look less flabby and round. Dermal fillers add volume and contour to make your skin look young and refreshed.

If you’re looking for a safe and effective non-surgical way to get similar results to a facelift–and you don’t mind a temporary outcome–a session of combined cosmetic injectables may be the solution.
